Alresford Old Gits are a loose collective of motorsport fans who go to Le Mans for the 24 Hour race each June.
Well that is not strictly true as some members have very little interest in the cars and only go for the food.Or the beer.
We are called the Alresford Old Gits because we all come from ALRESFORD in Essex (apart from Barrie,Chris, Big G, Pete) and we are all OLD (apart from good looking John) and we are all GITS .
Barrie(Prettyboy) insists he is not old, but everything is relative. 2001 welcomed back Steve( Pernod man ) and also welcomed John 'Cookie', Richard 'Dog Shit World', Chris, Stuart and George, who defy categorization.
Which only leaves Jim and Simon.
Simon( Flatoutstonkers ) really is interested in the cars but nobody is perfect. And Jim likes to cut down trees ! and dance on fire !

2007 Sadly Simon decided to set up a Splinter group this year and camped at Arnage with David, this was a great loss to the group!
Luckily we were joined by two Virgins James(fluffybunny) & Tony and also two newcomers to the group Wil and his son John (Happy 30th Birthday).
We wish Simon all the best and thank him for all the work he has put in over the years ?
